Why Choose an Automatic Door Operator VS. a Door Closer?

The basic function of mechanical and electromechanical door closers is to provide a smooth, controlled closing action after the door has been manually opened and released. Low energy door operators allow for automatic and manual door opening and closing. Electromechanical operators are used where automatic mode (activated by wall switches) is needed. Electrohydraulic operators incorporate a hydraulic door closer for smooth reliable door control, and are used where doors are typically operated manually, but can also be activated via automatic operation.
